Alyssa’s focus on corporate and healthcare law drives an efficient and client-oriented approach to advising clients and executing transactions. Alyssa has over 20 years of corporate and healthcare law experience, including as general counsel of a large nonprofit healthcare system. Alyssa’s combination of experience as both outside and in-house counsel provides her with a unique and practical perspective on her clients’ needs founded in an understanding of their mission, objectives, business operations, financial considerations, environment and strategic dynamics. Alyssa’s experience encompasses a broad spectrum of business contracts, arrangements and transactions, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, third-party payer contracts, employment agreements, academic affiliation agreements, physician affiliation structures, vendor contracts, research-related agreements and taxable and tax-exempt financing. Alyssa has advised clients in a wide variety of state and federal regulatory matters and policy development, compliance program and board governance matters. Alyssa also has worked extensively on state legislative analysis and advocacy.
After attending law school, Alyssa was a corporate associate at Roberts Carroll Feldstein & Peirce, advanced to Partner in the corporate department at Hinckley Allen and then rose from Associate Vice President and General Counsel to Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Care New England Health System, a $1B+ integrated healthcare delivery system.
