Joe joined the Firm in 1991.  Joe represents closely held business entities in connection with acquisitions, divestitures, financing and succession planning.  In addition, he advises clients on commercial real estate matters.  Clients include manufacturing companies, financial service companies and owners of office buildings and shopping centers.  Joe has represented a national retail organization in connection with its southeastern New England real estate transactions.  Joe is a Director and past Secretary, Treasurer and Chair of AAA of Southern New England, is a Director and Vice Chair of AAA Motor Club Holdings, LLC and has served as a Board member on a number of Rhode Island educational and other non-profit organizations.

Joe was an associate and partner of Edwards & Angell (now Edwards Angell Palmer Dodge LLP), Providence, Rhode Island and has also served as Vice President of a publicly held leasing company and was a shareholder and officer of a wholesale millwork distributor prior to his return to the full-time practice of law in 1986.  Joe is currently listed in Woodward/White Inc.’s Best Lawyers in America in the corporate law and real estate law categories, and he has been designated a Super Lawyer by the Rhode Island Monthly magazine.
